The metal mesh PCAP touchscreen functions by having a layer of thin copper wires or mesh embedded on the surface of the screen. It is composed of two layers of transparent film, in the middle of which is a grid matrix layer composed of a layer of metal wires crossed in the direction of X and Y axis, each matrix constitutes an induction unit, which can sense the touch of the human hand. When a finger touches the screen, it disrupts the grid pattern, allowing for this touch to be detected and registered by the system.
